The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the United Arab Emirates Professor Arusha Cooray presented Credentials to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates on 10 July 2025 at a ceremony held at the Qasr Al Watan, the President’s palace in Abu Dhabi. Five other newly appointed Ambassadors from the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Ecuador, Slovak Republic, Republic of Kazakhstan, and Republic of Honduras also presented their Credentials during the ceremony.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Courts and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates also attended the ceremony.

Welcoming the New Ambassadors, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the United Arab Emirates commitment to providing full support from the Government and relevant UAE Authorities to help the Ambassador carry out their duties with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations with their respective countries.
