The Sri Lanka national flag adorned the famous Berj Khalifa in Dubai and the Adnoc Tower in Abu Dhabi to mark the 72nd Anniversary of Independence of Sri Lanka on 4th February 2020. The gesture by the United Arab Emirates is testimony of the close and friendly relations that have existed and stood the test of time. Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates also commemorated the milestone of 40 years since establishing diplomatic relations.
